Salad Spinner - my new friend!

Few things in life bring me as much joy as a practical gift (practical jokes are a close second). This salad spinner may be the most use I ever got from my organic chemistry book ( amazon book buy back-love it!). And it certainly made a good gift...to me =D

Just about this time each summer, I seem to get an irresistable desire to make/remodel/paint/decorate something. Anything.

Last year I was plenty occupied with planning my dad's surprise party, and then of course there was the wedding to keep my hands busy. But the year before I was retexturing and painting the kitchen bathroom, and the summer before that we tackled the living room and dining room, then added the entryway and hallway for good measure.

But apartments kind of limit how many DIY projects a person can attack.

So that's when you settle for making marshmallows.

Orange Chicken (And Our One Year Anniversary!)

It took us a while to figure this one out….

I wouldn’t say my grandma is exactly known for her humorous deeds, but I have to admit, it was pretty  funny.

You see, apparently there’s a thing about giving paper as a gift on a couple’s one year anniversary.

Chocolate Covered Strawberry Cheesecake

You know how your teachers give you a list of textbooks that you absolutely HAVE to have, and then at the end of the year you realize you never even cracked the cover?

I know, it's annoying. It's annoying and expensive.

It's annoying and expensive and depressing, especially when you consider the fact that the cost of every year of college is like buying a new car. A nice new car. Every year.

Anyway, that's not important.

What is important though, is fat.
